 Where Are They Now?

     Shane Faber
Originally from Miami, FL, and co-founder with Ward Camp. After leaving the band in 1986, he started working as a recording engineer in NYC at Calliope Studios. He went on to engineer, mix and produce several Gold, Platinum and Grammy award winning records over the next 15 years as well as establish himself as a songwriter with two separate major music publishing deals. Songs from the JeepJazz Project have been licensed to major film and television soundtracks heard all over the world. Among others, his music has been on Oprah, CSI: Miami, HBO, the Chappelle Show and Access Hollywood.

ImageIn 1995, he got involved in this new phenomenon, the Internet, and in between music projects began building websites and exploring this new world of computer networking. By the year 2000, his web and networking clients were proving much more profitable than the music business and he never looked back. Computer consulting has taken him around the world from Baghdad to Okinawa to Las Vegas.

Currently, he resides in Montclair, NJ with his wife and two daughters. As an Altiris Authorized Consultant, he specializes in helping organizations deploy and customize the Altiris enterprise systems management tools and implement ITIL asset management best practices.

Shane still makes music from time to time and has a recording studio and computer networking lab at home. He can be reached at jeepjazz@hotmail.com.

      Marc Moss

Producer, engineer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, with over 150 CD projects to his credit, Marc Moss, owner of Target Studios, is one of the most respected producers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Marc has always made music his livelihood, both as a performer and as owner and founder of Target Studios.  From 1980 to 1986, Marc was a member of Bad Sneakers, a popular Newark area band that regularly performed up and down the east coast and released three albums.  Image

He opened Target Studios in 1986 while continuing to write, record and perform his own music. In 1992, Marc released his own critically acclaimed CD, Marc Moss and the Art Farm.  Stereo Review called the CD "...intelligent, extremely well-crafted, and addictively tuneful."  Marc spent the next several years performing solo at such venues as The Bitter End in New York City, The Tin Angel in Philadelphia and The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.  He has also performed at BMI's Acoustic Round-up in New York City, the Philadelphia Music Conference and the SXSW Music Conference in Austin.

After working together on various solo projects over the years, Silent Planet artists Steve Black and David Meredith began writing and recording songs with Marc in 2001.  The result of this collaboration was a new area band, Black/Moss/Meredith and their album WORLD OF WONDER.  From the church steeples of Eastern Europe in "Ring the Bells"to the swamps of "Blacksnake Road", from the jangly guitar pop of "Laura Jane" to the pounding pulse of "Widow's Web", WORLD OF WONDER takes the listener on a diverse musical journey of the soul. Currently, Marc is performing in a duo with his son, Maxx.  Debuting in December 2004, Marc & Maxx Moss has performed at the Blue Crab Grill in Newark, the AIDS Red Ribbon Music Festival in Newark and the Delaware Music Festival in Dewey Beach. Marc performs with an aggressive, energetic style.  He is an accomplished guitar player with a distinctive voice whose music is versatile, passionate, humorous and full of imagery.

      Ward Camp
Originally from the DC area, and co-founder with Shane Faber. Ward left the band in mid 1983 to pursue his dream of owning and operating a recording studio and independently producing records. He purchased a local studio and recorded and produced albums for two local artists, Crabtree Thompson (a solo act) and the Johnny Neel Band (Southern Rock featuring Bill Dube, the drummer from the original Bad Sneakers). Then at Christmas 1983, he committed suicide. It was a great loss to me personally and to all those who knew him. He was one of the most talented musicians I ever met and one of my best friends. It was truly a tragic waste but life goes on.

      Bill Dube
Originally from Maine, Bill was the third member of the original Bad Sneakers lineup in 1979. He played drums, sang and ran the lights with a drumstick! A great drummer with a great personality, he had always wanted to play with Johnny Neel and unfortunately for Bad Sneakers, he got the opportunity after about 6 months and took it. He went on to play with Johnny for several years, including the album that Ward produced in 1983. Eventually, he retired from the live music scene and still lives in Newark, DE.
